WHAT IS A "GPS" AND HOW LONG SHOULD TAKE THE SYNCHRONIZATION?
The GPS receiver must receive signals from at least 3 satellites to be able to calculate your location. In some cases, the initial position calculation can take up to 10 minutes, especially if you move at high speed. This process can significantly speed up if you stop at a place where nothing obscures the sky.
In addition, waiting time for the calculation of your starting position depends on many factors:
1. Time and distance from the point where the GPS receiver has been activated in the last time.
2. Obstruction of the sky by various objects.
3. Your current speed.
4. The current location of the satellites.
Calculate your location may not be possible if you are in a building, tunnel or very close to a high building. -
